The Indian Cultural & Language Society of Universiti Industri Selangor (ICLS-UNiSEL) is the ever first society established for the Indians of UNiSEL. ICLS-UNiSEL was a dream of many students. Now it is a dream comes true for all of us. The aim of the UNISEL Indian Cultural Society is to give an identity to the Indian Community in UNISEL and its diversity. As a society, we strongly believe in the idea of togetherness. At a finest university like UNISEL, which attracts so many Indian students, we strongly feel the need to have a society that can bring togetherness not only among Indian students, but anyone who wishes to know more about Indian Culture & Language.
The purpose of the society is also to foster greater interaction among UNISEL Indian students; to provide all possible help and support to them to enable them to adapt comfortably into their new environment in the university; to provide a convenient forum or channel for them to share their experiences and discuss relevant issues; to represent, promote and protect the interests of the undergraduate students at the University level; and to create an awareness among the Indian students community existing in Malaysia about the programs, environment and educational opportunities at UNISEL.
ICLS-UNiSEL also a channel to produce potential graduates with academic excellence, good and healthy social skills. Few important strategies of ICLS-UNiSEL are to come up with beneficial programs and activities to motivate the students and share the knowledge among all the students of UNiSEL.
I hope that each and every student will contribute to the development of ICLS-UNiSEL so that this society will continue to give its best to the community of UNiSEL and strive itself to the eye of other higher learning institutions. This is the time for us to show our abilities to others and prove that we can come up with ideas and thoughts to contribute to the development of our society and country.
I would like to extend my heartiest appreciation to the management of UNISEL for approving the formation of this society and to all the students who have contributed towards this achievement.
